Our quest is to help you enjoy, explore, relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of busy life of Hargeisa. Gacan Libaax offers sandy hills and scattered savannah vegetation with acacia forest which is home to local bird species rare in the other world. The surrounding offers an off-road environment for maximum relaxation or hiking up and down the sandy hills offering a perfect place to keep fit and plan.
A southwesterly extension of the Golis Range the long escarpment that also includes Mount Wagar and the Daalo Forest - Ga'can Libaax is a tall limestone ridge that rises to an elevation of 1,720m within the triangle formed by the surfaced roads connection Berbera to Hargeisa and Burao.
Day trip from either Berbera or Hargeisa but makes for the long slog and would force you to do any hiking in the middle of the heath so overnight is a must.
