Dayaxa is west of Erigavo, Sanaag. Most people come here to experience a day of hiking, swimming in the creek and outdoor BBQ.
It's home to the famous Dayaxa Secondary School, which was originally founded as one of the first primary schools in the country. It boasts illustrious alumni, as many Somalis. Politicians and business figures graduate from this school also it's one of the largest frankincense-producing areas in Somaliland.
